Children and Friends Enrichment Center is the only non-profit childcare center in the Swannanoa Valley and has been "growing" children for over 25 years. We operate under the supervision of the Board of Directors of the Swannanoa Valley Child Care Council, Inc. The Council is responsible for formulating operational policy and evaluating the effectiveness of those policies. The Council brings together parents, members of the community, civic groups, business organizations and others who are concerned with improving the developmentally appropriate practices in the education of young children. Funding is obtained through parent fees, county subsidies, contributions from churches, community groups and private individuals and other board fund raising activities.
